Meet Our Team

Dr. Nicholas Pisoni

D.V.M.

Dr. Pisoni has been a veterinarian at Binder Animal Hospital since 1983, but started his career here in 1975 as a kennel assistant while in high school. Dr. Pisoni graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He completed a post-graduate internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Pisoni's special interests are general surgery and orthopedics. Dr. Pisoni is a member of the Greater St. Louis, Missouri, and American Veterinary Medical Associations and a member of the Veterinary Information Network. He is married to Dr. Kovar and they have two sons. In addition to his current pets, he has had dogs, birds, a rat, guinea pigs, gerbils, ducks, chickens, calves and horses.

Dr. Kathryn Pisoni

D.V.M.

Dr. Kovar has been at Binder Animal Hospital since 1989. She is a 1984 graduate of the University of Missouri college of Veterinary Medicine. She holds an undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Nebraska. She is married to Dr. Pisoni and has two sons. They currently care for five cats at home as well as two cats and a rabbit at the hospital. Her previous pets have included horses, dogs, birds, fish, guinea pigs and a boa constrictor. Dr. Kovar is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association and the Greater St. Louis, Missouri and American Veterinary Medical Associations.

Dr. Karen Felder

D.V.M.

Dr. Felder has been at Binder Animal Hospital since 1992. She majored in Biochemistry undergraduate school and in 1988, she graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Currently she is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association. She has three cats named Mischa, Kanga and Kita.

Dr. Rhiannon McKnight

D.V.M.

Dr. Rhiannon McKnight is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College and completed an Internship of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Georgia. She has been practicing at Vet Stop Animal Hospital for twenty-five years. Her special interests include general surgery, nutrition, veterinary dentistry and routine preventative medicine. Additionally, she volunteers for the Endangered Wolf Sanctuary as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees.
